SONG BOOKS: We use two books. It is important that you have both of these books so that we can all play the same version. However, on your first visit there will always be someone to share a book with you. We sit at a large table, so using a table top music stand is helpful.
1. "The Happy Little Uke Club" songbook, which contains about 75 songs and is available for $10.00 at the meetings. These are songs members have contributed and that we like to play.
2. The "Daily Ukulele Songbooks" (yellow and blue) by Jim Beloff are available online through Amazon.com or check with your local music store for availability.
If you would like to suggest a new song that is not in one of these books please bring about 20 paper copies to share and we will try it out. If everyone likes it we can add it to our Happy Uke Club book. MEETING FORMAT: We start with three warm up songs: "Kansas City" "You Are My Sunshine" "Bye Bye Love"
GROUP SESSION: After the warm up, we go around the table and each person picks a song to lead. If you are not comfortable leading, just pick a song you like and someone will volunteer to lead it. If possible it is a good idea to have a couple of songs in mind before the meeting starts.
BREAK: Around 7:00 p.m. we take a break to eat, mingle, make announcements or share information. You can either eat first or bring a bag dinner and non-alcoholic drink with you. CLOSING SONG: "On The Road Again"
